Sales and Distribution of OxyRevo Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers.
What is it?
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) involves breathing high concentrations of oxygen under pressure higher than normal atmospheric pressure (1 ATA is the atmospheric pressure at sea level). Mild HBOT involves pressures less than 2ATA and oxygen concentration of no higher than 97%. Our mHBOT chamber reaches up to 2ATA (a pressure equivalent to being approximately 33 feet under the water) and 95-97% oxygen concentration via an oxygen mask or wand. mHBOT has a growing body of evidence with research suggesting improvements in immune modulation, pain and inflammation, brain and cognitive function, energy levels, anti-aging, virus recovery and peak performance.
How does it work?
By breathing oxygen at higher atmospheric pressure this creates an environment where oxygen gas becomes liquid and therefore enters the blood stream into the plasma (as opposed to being attached to the red blood cells as it normally would). Oxygen being transported around the body in the blood plasma allows delivery in greater concentrations to areas that might not normally receive high levels of oxygen, such as diseased, inflamed or degenerative tissue. High concentrations of oxygen affect the cells at the nucleus, by down regulating inflammation and apoptosis (cell death) and up regulating the process involved with stem cell production and tissue regeneration. In other words, high concentrations of oxygen are used for slowing or stopping degeneration and improving regeneration.
What is it used for?
Anything involving inflammation, any “wounds” and therefore any disease or condition. It treats the underlying disease process at the cell level.

Further usages in sport injuries and recovery, anti-aging and general well-being.
How many sessions should I do?
Most hyperbaric centres suggest the 40 hour protocol gives many benefits. This involves doing a 1hour session or 2 x 1 hour sessions daily. The effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been shown to be cumulative, in other words, the positive effects build if the sessions are completed in succession. For many conditions 1 lot of the 40 hour protocol will produce results, however other conditions require 2 or 3 or more lots of the 40 hour protocol with a break in between. Research does suggest the benefits can occur in as little as 10 sessions. It is our recommendation that unless you are able to commit to at least 10 sessions of mHBOT the benefits will not be long term. The suggestion is to commit to at least 40 sessions as a minimum to gain long term improvements. However there are some conditions that require less and some that require more.
What side effects?
Since mHBOT is not hospital grade hyperbaric therapy the side effects are very rare. There have been no serious reports of side effects associated with mHBOT, however there have been anecdotal reports of patients getting ear pain. Therefore there are a few safety precautions we abide by (below) in order to reduce the likelihood of this. mHBOT uses filtered clean air and not pure oxygen so there is no risk of oxygen toxicity or fire. After the first few sessions you may feel a slight fatigue but it’s a good sign of your body is clearing itself of waste that has built up over time. This is safe and necessary.
Safety Precautions.
Do not use the Chamber if you are pregnant.
Do not use the Chamber if you have the following medical conditions:
- Cold or Flu symptoms – like blocked nose
- Ear infection -current or recent
- Pneumothorax (Collapsed Lung) – will require clearance from a respiratory specialist.
- Chronic sinusitis and your ears cannot be cleared (ie you are unable to equalise)
We also recommend if you have claustrophobia or have a fear of being trapped that you come and take a look at our setup (and perhaps have a lie down in the chamber) before starting.
What’s it cost?
A brand new OxyRevo Hyperbaric Chamber can be delivered to your door from as little as $13000AUD.
What to expect during a session?
If you have any of the safety precautions listed you must not use the chamber. It is necessary to be able to equalise your ears during the initial stages of the pressure increase. We request you wear loose comfortable clothing and remove anything sharp. You will be lying on your back or sides or can sit up in the chamber. You are free to read a book, use your phone/ipad/computer or take a nap. Some people might even like to exercise – the chamber is spacious enough to do pushups, situps and some sitting exercises. If being used for children a parent/guardian is welcome to accompany the child.
